There will not be any Sunday School or other worship services at Gregory Memorial on Sunday, December 17. Our congregation has been invited to hear Trinity United Methodist Church‘s Christmas Cantata during their worship service that begins at 11:00 a.m. that day. Lunch will be served after the cantata. The church is located at 10021 County Drive (US 460), Disputanta.

Please join us back at Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church December 24 for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. where we will continue our special Christmas lesson entitled “Who Needs Christmas?” Our worship service at 11:00 a.m will be led by Rev. Dr. Charles E. Bagwell.

Coffee Hour   The Faith Committee will be hosting a “Coffee Hour” July 30th, immediately after church, in recognition of our four new members, our two newlywed couples and the retirement of our faithful servant, Kevin Foster, from the office of treasurer of Gregory Memorial.  We will also have a chance to say congratulations to our scholarship recipients. Mark your calendar!!!

“Sunday in the Park” – June 25 – Mark your calendar for our annual Church picnic lunch! There will be no Sunday School that morning. Worship service will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. under the Pavilion at Clifford W. Scott Memorial Park, 6690 Courthouse Road in Prince George. The church will provide fried chicken, beverages (iced tea, bottled water), and the congregation is asked to bring their favorite covered dish sides and desserts. As the picnic tables and benches are a bit rustic, please dress comfortably and casually!

Support the Boy Scouts!!  (Click here for more information.) Gregory has been asked to support the Boy Scouts of Troop 900 and Pack 910 by supplying items for their Birthday Bag Project. Items that are being requested are Cake mix and Frosting sets, birthday candles, sprinkles, birthday plates and napkins, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, crayons/markers, coloring books, stickers, puzzles, and simple wall decorations. The scouts will prepare the “Birthday in a Bag” sets and deliver them to the Prince George Food Bank. Collection boxes are in the Narthex and the Fellowship Hall to receive your donations beginning February 19 and running thru Feb. 26.

 Mark your calendar!!  Movie Night will be held Wednesday, March 1.  The movie will be Ruth from the Sight and Sound collection.  Dinner will be served at 6pm with the movie following at approximately 6:30pm.  We will be serving chili, soup, bread and dessert.  Come and enjoy, and don’t forget to bring a friend!!

Lenten Sunday School Lessons will begin March 12 at 9:30 am in the Fellowship Hall.  We will be using materials written by Max Lucado entitled He Chose the Nails: What God Did to Win Your Heart.  These lessons invite you to examine the cross, contemplate its purpose and celebrate its significance.   If you would like to order the Study Guide, please contact Patsy.  Cost of the book is $4.00.
