We highly value our youth and recognize the unique opportunity the church has to provide a safe and open place for teenagers to be and to learn about spiritual values that may be different from those learned on the ball field or the popular media.
In addition to Sunday morning education, middle through high school-age youth gather on Thursday afternoons for a fellowship that balances learning, fun and mission. Activities that have grown from this include a church-wide “Minute to Win It” night, a prize-winning float in the Prince George Christmas parade, an evangelistic trip to the local shopping mall and serving meals at a local soup kitchen.
Making Survival Crosses and Surviving With Christ
For most of our youth, the culmination of their activities is the annual week at Workcamp where they join 170 other teens and their adult advisors in an event that is part home renovation, part crazy fun, part Christian reflection, and part experiencing the diversity of the church! We commission these youth and their leaders in the summer and hear their Workcamp story as they lead worship in the fall.
